Plate 9 of 13
The still toy
Holding the toy still and rubbing against it: the hips move, not the hand
With a sex toy, the first reflex is often to use it by hand: hold the object, move it, press it against the vulva. You can also do the reverse: the object stays still, and the body is what comes to rub against it.
These two approaches do not give the same sensations. When the pelvis shifts against an object that stays put, the pubis is not in constant contact. It touches, draws away, comes back, and never quite in the same place. That produces a series of sensation peaks, brief and localized, rather than a continuous pressure.
