Plate 10 of 13

The slow withdrawal

Making the moment you remove a toy a sensation in its own right

12 min read

A sex toy is readily linked to the moment it goes in, and then to the in-and-out that follows. The outward stroke, for its part, passes for a mere ending, a practical gesture you hurry through. Yet many women who use them discover that this last stretch can count among the most pleasant of the whole session, provided you give it its place.

The effect shows most clearly on models whose surface is not smooth: strings of beads, pearls, bumps, ridges. Each bulge that comes out starts a small sequence on its own. It crosses the opening and stretches it as it goes through, then the opening shuts and tightens behind it. A sex toy with several ridges runs these sequences one after another. Slowing the outward stroke is how you give yourself time to feel every one of them.
